Pune | Wanawadi police file case against RaviAnna Dandeli and Ramesh Bhandari for cheating

Pune : Policenama onlineThe police have filed a complaint against two people for cheating at the Wanawadi police station. A restaurant was started on a partnership basis but one person has been cheated of Rs 55 lakh. The incident happened at Wanawadigaon between August 2017 and January 2021.

 

A case of cheating has been filed against Ravi Anna Hanumant Dandeli, a resident of BT Kawde Road, Dalvinagar, Pune and Ramesh Shankarlal Bhandari, a resident of Jagtap Chowk, Wanawadi. Krishna Narayan Manikal (42), a resident of BT Kawde Road, Dalvinagar, Pune has filed a complaint at the Wanawadi police station.

 

According to the police, complainant Krishna Manikal and Ravi Dandeli had started the restaurant ‘Hotel Shipyard’ in partnership. They had taken a place from Ramesh Bhandari on rent. The complainant, while starting the restaurant, had given Rs 55 lakh to Ravi Dandeli via RTGS and in cash. In 2018, the complainant exited the partnership.

 

Later, Ravi Dandeli sold the restaurant to Ramesh Bhandari despite knowing that the complainant was a partner. Manikal demanded Rs 55 lakh which he had invested in the restaurant.

 

Dandeli refused to return the money and threatened to kill him. Manikal had filed a complaint and the police have registered a case against Dandeli and Bhandari.

 

The Wanawadi police are investigating the case.
