Pune: Woman ends life over property dispute in Wagholi

Pune: A 56-year-old woman hanged herself to death at her sister’s residence due to mental and physical harassment over a property dispute. Four persons have been booked in this regard.

The incident took place at the twin bungalow, BIVY Estate, lane no. 11, Wagholi during the intervening night of March 28 and March 29.

The victim has been identified as Kunda Adinath Dhus (56). Anupama Chetan Shukre (33), a resident of Pashan, lodged a complaint on Saturday at the Lonikand Police Station.

On the basis of the complaint, Sanjay Thange (50), Anita Thange (45), Hrishikesh Thange (28), all residents of Vadgaon Sheri, and Manda Ramesh Kurhe have been booked under sections 306, 504 of the IPC.

According to the police, the complainant’s mother owns a property at Sainath Nagar. The victim and the accused have a dispute over the property. The accused used to mentally and physically harass the victim over the property dispute. The victim was fed up with the torture. She hanged herself to death at her sister’s residence. The police have registered a case of abetting of suicide against the four persons.
