PUNE | Wrestler Nagesh Karale shot dead at Shelpimpalgaon near Chakan
Chakan : Policenama online | A wrestler who used to train young wrestlers was shot dead at a crossroads near here on Thursday night. Four rounds of bullets were fired at him by assailants. The murder was a result of an old dispute, it was learnt. The victim has been identified as Nagesh Subhash Karale (38).
The Pimpri Chinchwad police have launched nakabandi operations and a hunt has been launched for the assailants. According to details, Karale was getting in his car near Milind Beer Shoppee at Shelpimpalgaon when the attackers, who were waiting in another car to launch an attack, approached Karale’s car and fired four rounds of bullet at him. Karale was seriously injured in the firing. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital for treatment. However, he was declared dead on arrival by doctors.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. CCTV footage of the incident has been procured and four police teams are searching for the assailants. The Chakan police and crime branch officials are investigating further.
