The counting of votes took place on Thursday. Everyone was talking about the Kasba Peth bypoll on social media. On Thursday, only one crime of robbery and a stealing of a vehicle has been recorded in 32 police stations in the city. Not a single incident of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, house break-in, fighting and causing injury was reported.
Every day in the city, two/four cases of house break-ins and stealing of five/six vehicles are reported. There are also some incidents of attempt to murder and fighting. Since there was heavy bandobast and everyone was paying attention to the result of Kasba Peth bypoll, criminals were also concentrating on the results. This has resulted in a significant reduction of crimes in the city.
