Man held by Crime Branch for selling clothes with fake labels of reputed brands; Goods worth ₹17 lakh seized

Pune : Policenama online Pune Crime News | An FIR has been registered under the Copyright Act against people involved in selling clothes with duplicate labels of reputed companies. The action was taken in the limits of Hadapsar police station by the team of Crime Branch unit 5 and a man has been arrested. Goods worth ₹17 lakh were seized from him. The goods include T-shirts and trousers having fake labels of leading brands. (Pune Crime News)

 

An FIR has been registered against Sachin Gangadhar Narwade under the Copyright Act and he has been arrested. Field Officer of Brand Products India Private Limited Mahendra Sohansingh Deora (36), a resident of Rajasthan, has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. The action was taken on February 28 at Max Manufacturer and Wholesaler at Mahadev Nagar.

 

According to the police, clothes were being sold by attaching labels and logos of leading brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly and Peter England at a shop in Mahadev Nagar. Officials of unit 5 of the Crime Branch came to know about this. They raided Max Max Manufacturer and Wholesaler at Mahadev Nagar. The team arrested Sachin Gangadhar Narwade and seized goods worth ₹17 lakh.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende by a team of officials including PI Ulhas Kadam, API Krishna Babar, policemen Dayaram Shegar, Ramesh Sable, Vinod Shivle, Shashikant Nale, Akbar Shaikh and policewoman Swati Gavde.
