Telangana CM expresses anger over sale of Praja Palana applications

Hyderabad, Dec 30 (UNI)- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy voiced his displeasure over the sale of applications meant for accessing government scheme benefits during the ongoing Praja Palana program. He instructed officials to ensure a seamless distribution of applications to all eligible applicants.

During a review meeting with Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other top officials, CM Revanth Reddy clarified that existing beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu and Pension schemes need not worry, while new applicants should submit applications to avail of benefits. He emphasized the need for clarity to avoid confusion among the public, a statement from Chief Minister’s Office said on Saturday.

In response to the commencement of Praja Palana on December 28, the Chief Minister sought details from officials regarding Gram Sabhas, application submissions, and the overall process. He instructed officials to make a sufficient number of applications available and urged them not to create obstacles for applicants.

CM Revanth Reddy directed District Collectors to take strict action against those involved in selling applications. He suggested the active participation of public representatives in the Praja Palana program to enhance its effectiveness.

Additionally, officials were instructed to ensure citizens face no difficulties in submitting applications, providing drinking water supply, and setting up tents for attendees.
