Pune: Policenama online  – Terrorist Arrest In Pune | Maharashtra ATS has arrested four terrorists in connection with a terror case. Since their police custody was ending today, they were produced in the court of Special Additional Judge V.R. Kachre. The court extended their police custody till August 11. ATS officials informed the court that the four terrorists were connected with ISIS and Al Sufa and a conspiracy of carrying out bomb blasts had been uncovered. (Terrorist Arrest In Pune)

The Pune police had arrested Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki (24) and Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yusuf Khan (23), both residents of Kondhwa, from the Kothrud area on July 18. It became clear that they were being searched by the NIA in connection with a terror case.

The ATS grilled the two terrorists after taking their charge. During questioning, it came to light that they had tested bombs in jungles of Pune, Kolhapur and Satara. They arrested Abdul Qadir Dastgir Pathan (32), a resident of Kondhwa for making their accommodation arrangements and Simab Nasruddin Qazi (27), a resident of Kondhwa and a mechanical engineer hailing from Ratnagiri for providing financial help. It became clear that the terrorists had planned to carry out terror acts in Pune and some other cities.

After the involvement of Zulfikar Ali Barodawala was proved in the conspiracy, he was apprehended by ATS.

Hence, ATS has taken custody of Barodawala with the permission of the court. A group of ISIS was active in Maharashtra and was involved in brainwashing youths into carrying out terror acts. NIA had arrested Barodawala and his four accomplices. Adv. Vijay Fargade represented the prosecution and Adv. Yashpal Purohit represented the defendants.
