New Delhi : Policenama online – NCP MP Supriya Sule on Monday levelled a serious allegation against some NCB officers. In the Lok Sabha, She said some NCB officials are misusing their position to blackmail Bollywood actors and others. They are defaming the Mumbai film industry.
She was speaking after the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill 2021 was tabled in the house for discussion.
She raised a question mark on the functioning of the NCB while participating in the discussion on the Bill in the Lok Sabha.
She said a media trial is held. Bollywood actors are portrayed as villains. One never knows what happens later to such complaints filed against them. Addiction is wrong. There are restrictions even on the use of tobacco in Maharashtra. Such cases are filed to gain publicity by sensationalising them by the officials concerned. This has to stop.
