PUNE, Policenama Online – Three former students of Savitribai Phule Pune University booked in a cheating case at the Chatushrungi Police station.

According to the police, the suspects, who had been part of the coordination committee for SPPU’s “earn and learn” scheme, cheated the university of Rs3.46 lakh between November 2017 and February 2019.The trio, said, created fake entries in the database for the scheme, took money from university and deposited it in their accounts. The fraud was discovered after university officials verified the muster rolls of students enrolled in the scheme. SPPU official then approached the police.
