Three from a jeweller’s family killed in accident near Baramati
Pune : Policenama online – Three members of a jeweller’s family hailing from Baramati were killed in an accident when their car rammed into a sugarcane-laden tractor trolley on Pune-Baramati Road near Tardoli village late on Tuesday night. (Pune Accident-Crime)
The deceased have been identified as Ashwini Shrenik Bhandari (48), Milind Shrenik Bhandari (24) and Kavita Uday Shah (62), all residents of Baramati. Bindiya Sunil Bhandari was seriously injured and was shifted to a private hospital in Pune.
Jeweller Shrenik Bhandari’s family was in Pune for a religious programme. They were returning to Baramati after the function was over. As the car neared Tardoli, the driver could not gauge the distance between the trolley and the car, travelling at high speed. Thus, the car rammed into the trolley. The impact of the crash was so high that three persons died on the spot. The injured were shifted to Pune for treatment.
