Pimpri Chinchwad: 43-year-old Bhausaheb Bhanudas Bedre, a resident of Gurunanak Nagar, Thergaon, strangled his eight-year-old daughter Nandini to death and later committed suicide by hanging himself in the kitchen due to financial hardship on Tuesday. In this regard, Wakad police have arrested one person for inciting Bedre to commit suicide.

The arrested person has been identified as Sunil, alias Ramrao Kuyate. In this case, Rajshree Bedre (age 32) has filed a complaint at Wakad police station.

According to the information given by the police, a few days ago, the deceased Bhausaheb Bedre and the accused had a land transaction deal. However, after completing the land deal, the accused cheated Bedre and did not pay him the money. Due to this financial problem, Bedre killed his eight-year-old daughter by strangling her with a rope, and he ended his life by hanging himself in the kitchen.

The plaintiff and the wife of the deceased Bhausaheb Bedre, Rajashree, had gone to her parental village. On Tuesday morning, when she returned from the village, she found her husband and her daughter lifeless. She immediately admitted both of them to the hospital; however, doctors declared them dead before the treatment.

Bhausaheb Bedre had written a suicidal note before committing suicide. In this note, Bedre mentioned the details of the cheating done by the accused and cited this as the reason for his committing suicide. Wakad police recovered the suicide note from the scene. Accordingly, the Wakad police have registered a case of inciting suicide against Sunil and arrested him. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Pawar.
