Pune : Policenama online – An incident has been reported in Pune wherein a man approached a woman social worker in the coffee shop of Dorabjee Mall and told her, “You look very dashing and I like women who are older than me,” and also made obscene gestures and molested her.
The Kothrud police have registered a case against Harshvardhan Chaudhary, a resident of Vishwajeet Apartment, Left Bhusari Colony, Kothrud.
A 52-year-old woman social worker staying in Manjari has filed a complaint at the Kothrud police station. The incident had taken place in the coffee shop of Dorabjee Mall in July 2020. Then, it continued on WhatsApp till now.
According to the information provided by the police, the complainant had gone to the coffee shop of the Dorabjee Mall with her colleague. Harshvardhan Chaudhary came there. He made obscene gestures and told her “You look very dashing and I like women who are older to me,” and molested her. He used the WhatsApp of the woman and defamed her NGO. He accused the complainant of committing theft and abused her colleagues. The woman got fed up and filed a complaint with the police.
The Kothrud police have registered a case and since the incident took place in the Dorabjee Mall, the case has been transferred to the Lashkar police station.
