Pune: A startling incident of sexually assaulting a 34-year-old girl by cajoling her and enticing her with a marriage promise. In this regard, a victim girl filed a complaint against the accused Kothrud Police Station.
The accused has been identified as Yesh Santosh Gandhi (21), a resident of Pargaon Gavthan, Ambegaon. As per the complaint, Yash Gandhi initially befriended a plaintiff girl and later entrapped her into his love by promising her marriage. On the pretext of marrying her, the accused repeatedly maintained sexual relations with the plaintiff. This incident took place in the Kothrud and Warje Malwadi areas from December 2021 to November 2023.
Shockingly, the accused recorded the footage of his and the plaintiff’s intimacy. Meanwhile, when the plaintiff asked him about the marriage, the accused brazenly refused to marry her. When the plaintiff went to confront him about it, the accused threatened the victim to make those videos and her nude photos viral on social media and to defame her.
Distressed by the incident, the plaintiff girl rushed to the Kothrud Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Accordingly, police immediately booked the accused under IPC 376, 376/2/N, 377, and 506. Kothrud Police are conducting further investigation into the matter.
