Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A young woman got addicted to cigarettes and marijuana due to her friend. Her boyfriend got suspicious and abused her in front of his friends by snatching her mobile phone. Upset over this, the young woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her home. The incident happened on February 1, 2023 in Viman Nagar. A case has been registered against the woman’s boyfriend and another friend. (Pune Crime News)

The 49-year-old father of the deceased girl has lodged a complaint at the Viman Nagar Police Station on Saturday. Accordingly, a case has been filed against Sairaj (full name and address not known) and a friend under sections 306, 323, 34 of the IPC. After the girl’s death, the complainant had gone to Amritsar to perform religious rituals. After coming from there, a complaint was lodged at the police station on Saturday. The police immediately registered a case of abetting suicide against the boyfriend and her friend.

According to the police, the deceased daughter of the complainant and the accused were friends. The accused encouraged the 21-year-old daughter of the complainant to consume cigarettes and marijuana. Sairaj, her boyfriend, suspected that she was having an affair with another man. He asked the complainant’s daughter for her mobile phone. But she refused to give the mobile phone.

Due to this, Sairaj abused the complainant’s daughter in front of her friends. He also snatched her mobile phone. It has been mentioned in the complaint that she committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence as whe was upset after this. A case has been registered against both of them after the complaint was lodged.
Police are conducting further investigation.
