2 killed after being hit by speeding ambulance

Srinagar, Mar 8 (UNI) – Srinagar News | Two pedestrians were killed when a speeding ambulance hit them at Bemina area of Srinagar during the wee hours of Wednesday, officials said. (Srinagar News)

 

Both the civilians identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Nowpora Baramulla, and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Hadipora Rafiabad were critically injured after being hit by a speeding ambulance near the Children hospital early today, a traffic police official said.

 

The injured were shifted to nearby JVC hospital for treatment, where doctors declared them dead, he said.

 

The driver of the ambulance has been arrested and the vehicle was seized. Further investigation of the incident is going on, he added.
