7 killed, 19 injured in road accident in Pakistan’s Punjab

Islamabad, Apr 26 (UNI) – Accident News | At least seven people were killed, and 19 others injured on Wednesday in a road accident in Toba Tek Singh district of Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, local police said. (Accident News)

 

According to the police, a passenger van and a mini truck collided with each other near Dharam Kot village in the Gojra area of the district.

 

Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and found that a fire broke out in both vehicles after the accident, killing seven people and leaving 19 others injured.

 

Some of the injured were reportedly in critical condition due to severe burns.

 

Police said the vehicles caught fire after a cylinder fitted in the van exploded due to the accident.
