Action taken against Ajay Vitkar and 28 accomplices under MCOCA by Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr; 23rd MCOCA action by police chief

Rupesh Uttam Vitkar (22), a resident of Pandav Nagar, Ismail Ibrahim Shaikh (19), a resident of Wadarvadi, Ganesh Harichandra Dhotre (19), a resident of Wadarvadi, Sahil Ganesh Vitkar (20), a resident of Wadarvadi, Lavkush Ramadhin Chauhan (22), a resident of near Pandav Nagar police chowki, Vijay alias Chapatya Hanumanta Vitkar (21), a resident of Vadarwadi, Chetan alias Anna Raju Pawar (22), a resident of Vadarwadi, Anil alias Kalya Hanumant Dongre (21), a resident of Gokhale Nagar, Vijay Chandrakant Vitkar (19), a resident of Vadarwadi and Dhanraj alias Chimya Kaluram Dhotre (23), a resident of Vadarwadi have been arrested. The police are searching for their 20/22 accomplices.
Gang leader Ajay Vitkar had formed his own gang and committed many crimes for financial gains. The crimes include attempt to murder, possessing weapons etc. Sr PI Balaji Pandhare of Chatuhshrungi police station had submitted a proposal through DCP Shashikant Borate to Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma seeking action under MCOCA against Ajay Vitkar and his accomplices. The proposal has been verified and approval for taking action against Ajay Vitkar and his accomplices has been given. ACP Arti Bansode is probing the case.
Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Shashikant Borate, ACP Arti Bansode guided a team of officials including Sr PI Balaji Pandhre, PI (crime) Ankush Chintaman, API Ratnadeep Gaikwad, PSI Nileshkumar Mahadik, PSI Rupesh Chalke, policemen Amit Gadre, Suhas Pwar and Maruti Kendre in taking the action.
