Launch preparation of Artificial Satellites at ISRO is unforgettable experience for Engineering student
Pune: Policenama online – DY Patil University (Ambi Pune)’s School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) recently organised a National industry tour expedition for students. (DY Patil University (Ambi Pune)
They visited U R Rao Satellite Centre of Indian Space and Research Organization(ISRO),Hindustan Aeronautics Limited(HAL),Bharat Heavy Electricals Engineering Limited(BHEL),Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation(KSIC Silks). Tour was organised during period 11th to 16th May 2023.Total 99 students of department of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering were participated along with faculty Dr. Ajim Shaikh,Professor Himanshu Ahire,Professor Anil Rakshe,Professor Dipali Khairnar and Madhavi Patil.
Students studied application of space science and technologies,management processes,received knowledge of manufacturing industries,process of production and operations.A walkthrough of the entire production assembly was an exciting and unforgettable experience for students.
Spirit of National Industries and Research Institutes
Visit to the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) which established by India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in 1962, on the urging of scientist Vikram Sarabhai, recognising the need in space research. INCOSPAR grew and became ISRO in 1969, within DAE.
Visiting Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) the national space agency of India, headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka and Operating under the Department of Space (DOS), ISRO helped student to understand the performing tasks related to space-based applications, space exploration and the development of related technologies. Student were impressed when they’ve seen government space agency in the world which possess full launch capabilities, can deploy cryogenic engines, launch extraterrestrial missions and operate large fleets of artificial satellites. Interaction with these scientists helped them to know the application of space science and technologies and future of innovation and technology.
Visit to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited(HAL),Bharat Heavy Electricals Engineering Limited(BHEL),Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation(KSIC Silks) also added knowledge of management processes,received knowledge of manufacturing industries,process of production and operations.A walkthrough of the entire production assembly was an exciting and unforgettable experience for students.
Future of technology and studying of new technology is essential is understood once again.
