Pune News | Walchandnagar Company plays important role in Chandrayaan 3 mission

WALCHANDNAGAR : Pune News | The Walchandnagar Company has played a major role in the Chandrayaan 3 mission and the success of the mission has come as a feather in the cap of the company, said MD and CEO of the Walchandnagar Company Chirag Doshi.

 

ISRO’s ambitious project Chandrayaan 3 mission started from Friday and the attention of the entire world is on the voyage. The propulsion model was lifted into space by a rocket.
Chandrayaan 3 is going to land on the moon on August 23. The rocket used for the mission had six booster motors. Four booster motors were manufactured by Walchandnagar Company. The four motors include Head End Segment, Middle Segment, Nozzle End Segment and Plex Nozzle Control Tank which are very important.

 

All these instruments were used in the first stage of the voyage. The company had also played an important role in the Chandrayaan 1 and Chandrayaan 2 mission. It also made an important contribution in the Mangalyaan project. The company has played an important role in nation building projects.

 

The company is involved in aerospace, defence and atomic energy sectors and the company has manufactured many important components of submarines. For the last five decades, the company is doing aerospace sector-related work and has been manufacturing important components. After the success of the Chandrayaan 3 mission, the company’s MD and CEO Chirag Doshi congratulated engineers and workers of the company.

 

The work of manufacturing key components of Gaganyaan mission is going on at Walchandnagar. Some equipment has been manufactured and handed over to ISRO.
