Jejuri Police bust prostitution racket; rescue two girls from West Bengal

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime News | The Jejuri Police busted a prostitution ring at Lakshmi Narayan Lodge on Jejuri-Saswad Road. The police took this action by sending decoy customers. In this operation, two girls from West Bengal were rescued and the manager of the lodge was detained. (Pune Crime News)
According to the police, they got a tip-off that prostitution was going on at Lakshmi Narayan Lodge along the Jejuri-Saswad road within the limits of Jejuri Police Station. Accordingly, the police sent a decoy to the lodge around 10:15 in the morning. After the customer confirmed and alerted the police, they raided the place. Two girls brought from West Bengal were rescued. The police arrested lodge manager Rama Narayan Mogavira (38) from Haveli. The police registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
The action was taken by a team comprising PSI Nandkumar Sonwalkar, police constables Nandkumar Pingle, N.R. Dorke, Ganesh Nande under the guidance of PI Umesh Tavaskar. PSI Sonwalkar is conducting further investigation.
