Kothrud police arrest vehicle thief who fakes his own death

A case of theft of an Ertiga car (MH 12 PN 7527) has been registered at the Kothrud Police Station. While investigating this crime, the police suspected Vivek Mishra’s role in it. They were looking for the accused. But the police got to know from his relatives, other friends and family as well as a local newspaper that the person Vivak Mishra is dead. When the details received were verified, it was revealed that Vivek Mishra is alive.
The police got to know that Mishra is a vehicle thief and is using the stolen Ertiga from Kothrud by changing its number. Also, the Kothrud police got a tip-off that the accused would be coming to Kothrud with a stolen car. The police laid a trap and detained the accused, along with the stolen car. When he was interrogated, he confessed that he had stolen an Activa bike from the Pune Rural Police’s Paud Police Station limits.
