Loni Kalbhor police arrest dacoits planning to strike at petrol pump

Pune : Policenama online Pune Crime News | The Loni Kalbhor Police have arrested four of a dacoity gang, who were preparing to loot a petrol pump in Kunjirwadi. Robbery material has been seized from the arrested accused. This action was done on Monday midnight near Mhatobachi Alandi Railway Bridge. (Pune Crime News)

 

The arrested accused have been identified as Prem Raju Londhe (19) from Ahmednagar, Rishikesh Uttam Londhe (26) from Beed, Ganesh Bhagwan Khalse (22) from Haveli, Tanaji Bhausaheb Gawde (22) from Haveli. Their other accomplices escaped by taking advantage of the darkness and the police are searching for them. A case has been registered against the accused at Loni Kalbhor Police Station.

 

Officers and staff of the investigation team of Loni Kalbhor police station were patrolling the area on Monday night in the background of Republic Day to search for absconding and wanted accused. Police constables Adke and Bhagat got a tip-off that 7 to 8 people, near Alandi railway bridge in Mhatoba, were blocking passers-by.

 

The police rushed to the spot. Four accused were caught while their other accomplices escaped by taking advantage of the darkness. When the accused were thoroughly interrogated, they admitted that they were going to loot Kunjirwadi Auto Corner H.P. petrol pump. Items such as 2 iron rods, chilli powder, battery, nylon rope, an adhesive tape have been seized from the accused.

 

The action was taken by a team comprising PSI Amit Gore, PSI Vaibhav More, police constables Nitin Gaikwad, Anand Patole, Sunil Naglot, Srinath Jadhav, Nitesh Punde, Shailesh Kudale, Nikhil Pawar, Deepak Sonawane, Bajirao Veer, Bhagat, Adke, Vishranti Phanse under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Zone-5 Vikrant Deshmukh, ACP Bajrang Desai, Sr. PI Dattatray Chavan, PI Crime Subhash Kale and PSI Amit Gore.
