11 IPS officers in state transferred on promotion
Mumbai : Policenama online – Maharashtra IPS-SP-DCP Transfer | Eleven senior IPS officers in the state have been transferred on promotion. Eleven DCPs/SPs have been promoted to Deputy IGPs and transferred. Joint Secretary Venkatesh Bhat issued the orders on the instructions of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Wednesday (April 20).
A committee had scrutinised the proposal to give promotions to senior IPS officials and those selected have been promoted.

Niva Jain : (SP, Osmanabad) to Addl CP, Nagpur City
Rajendra Mane : (DCP, State Intelligence Department, Mumbai) to Addl CP, Thane City
Vinayak B. Deshmukh : (SP, Jalna) to Addl CP, western region, Brihanmumbai
Mahesh U. Patil : (DCP Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate) to Addl CP, Traffic, Brihanmumbai
Sanjay B Jadhav : (SP, Highway Safety Squad, Pune) to Addl CP, Administration, Thane City
Deepak Sakore : (DCP, Mantralaya Security) to Deputy IGP, SRPF, Mumbai
Punjabrao Ugale : (SP, ACB Thane) to Addl CP, Local Arms, Brihanmumbai
