Man arrested by Pune police for preparing fake nikahnama and tarnishing girl’s reputation
PUNE : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | The Chandan Nagar police have arrested a man in Buldhana for preparing a fake nikahnama and maligning a girl’s reputation. The accused has been identified as Shaikh Khalil Shaikh Jameel (30), a resident of Buldhana district. (Pune Crime News)
After an FIR was registered, the accused was absconding for nine months. He had prepared a fake nikahnama in the girl’s name. He was tarnishing the girl’s image by telling everyone that the nikahnama was genuine. An FIR had been registered at the Chandan Nagar police station and the accused was absconding since then.
A team of Chandan Nagar police was searching for him. For some time, he was staying in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna. He was frequently changing his residence and mobile number. The police got a tip that the accused was staying in Buldhana district in Chikhali. Later, the police verified the information.
DCP Shashikant Borate and ACP Kishor Jadhav guided a team of officials including Sr PI Rajendra Landge, PI (crime) Jagannath Jankar, PSI Goraksha Ghodke, Namdev Gaddare, Sachin Randive and Santosh Lavte in arresting the accused.
