Not at all annoyed : Lalan

Patna, Dec 28 (UNI)- Amid intense speculations on his resignation and possibilities of being removed from the post of president of JD(U), Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Thursday said he is not at all annoyed or angered.

Singh told media persons that he was not at all angered for any reason in the party. All were united in JD(U) and would remain united in future as well, he asserted.

” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is supreme leader of the party”, JD(U) president said and refused to reply to a query on possibility of his stepping down as party president during the national executive meeting in New Delhi on December 29. On repeated queries of media persons in this connection, he in his apparent bid to duck the question, said he would consult them before doing so.

As it is, Singh reached in New Delhi to participate in national executive committee meeting of JD(U) on Friday. In second half on same day, national council meeting of the party would also be held. Its significance has increased as top leaders of the party including Chief Minister Kumar would discuss to

formulate the strategies for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Few days back, political circle was agog with rumour of resignation of

Lalan Singh as party president. Senior JD(U) leader and Bihar Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, however, had dismissed media reports on resignation of Singh saying it was mere speculations having no basis and truth. Later, Singh had also denied having resigned as party president.
