PCMC | Civic body’s Covid vaccination centres closed on Dec 29

Pimpri Chinchwad: Policenama online  – Anti-Covid vaccination centres run by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will remain shut on December 29 (Wednesday) due to weekly off. (PCMC)

The civic body has been following the state and central government’s directive on vaccination as a part of efforts to control the pandemic. Accordingly, vaccination begaon from January 16 starting with health workers followed by frontline workers, citizens above 60 years of age and from April 1 citizens above 45 years are being vaccinated. Since May 1 citizens between 18 and 45 years of age are being vaccinated.

As per the government’s directives, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is running centres across the city to vaccinate people. However it being weekly off for vaccination activity the centres will not operate on December 29. Assistant medical officer of the civic body Dr Laxman Gofne has appealed to the people to take note.
