Maharashtra Police | PIL filed in Bombay High Court to remove Sanjay Pandey as state DGP, demands appointing fulltime DGP from three suggested names
Pune : Policenama online – Maharashtra Police | A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Bombay High Court against the appointment of State Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey. He has been given the temporary charge of the post.
The Union of Pan Asian Communities has suggested names of three deserving officers for the post. Among them are Hemant Nagrale, K Venkatesham and Rajnish Seth. However, no permanent DGP has been appointed yet. Hence, Adv. Datta Mane has filed the PIL.
The PIL demands removal of Sanjay Pandey from the post and appointment of one of the recommended officers as the fulltime state DGP. The petition is being heard in the court.
