Pune Cop Suspended | ASI in Shivaji Nagar traffic department Premchand Bhanudas Vedpathak suspended for demanding bribe

Pune: Pune Cop Suspended | In a shocking incident it has been revealed that an assistant police officer in the traffic branch of Shivaji Nagar used to abuse the drunken drivers and demanded bribes in the name of fine from them. The deputy commissioner of police Vijay Kumar Magar has ordered the suspension of the assistant police officer after taking serious notice of the incident.

The name of the suspended assistant police officer is Premchand Bhanudas Vedapathak.

Vedpathak was regulating traffic in the Model Colony area. During duty he had consumed alcohol and also demanded money from the drivers in the name of fine. After the citizens got information about this, they filmed the act through mobile phones.

A woman had given a written complaint to the Shivaji Nagar Traffic Department about the incident.

Taking serious notice of this complaint, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Magar ordered the suspension of Vedpathak. Vedpathak has been suspended for tarnishing the image of the police force.
