Pune Crime News | 18-year-old college girl molested near Hadapsar police station, police arrested auto-rickshaw driver

Pune: Pune Crime News | A 18-year-old college going girl was molested near Durvankur mobile shop in Hadapsar Gadital area which is nearby Hadapsar police station. Based on the complaint from a girl, Hadapsar police have arrested one person in this case.

The accused have been identified as Sendik Shamshuddin Tamboli a resident of Syednagar in Hadapsar.

A police officer from Hadapsar police station said, ” As per the initial investigation the arrested accused is a rickshaw driver and the girl is studying in a college in Hadapsar.On July 24 the girl after her college was going home walking. While walking in front of the Durvankur mobile shop near Hadapsar police station a auto-rickshaw driver Tamboli came there and ased the girl to sit in her auto and when she refused he forcefully grabbed her hand and molested her. Based on the complaint received from the girl, we have registered a case against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 354 and are further investigating the case.”
