Pune Crime News | Car owners robbed of gold ornaments at Shivaji Nagar and Katraj


PUNE : Pune Crime News | Two incidents of car owners being robbed of their ornaments after they refused to hand over money and mobiles, took place in the city on the same day. The incidents took place at Bamboo House in Shivaji Nagar and Bhilarewadi in the Katraj ghat.

Govinda Sakhare (35), a resident of Aurangabad, has lodged a complaint (110/23) at the Shivaji Nagar police station. The complainant was parking his car near Bamboo House in Shivaji Nagar on May 28 at 3 am. Three people came on a motorcycle and they demanded money and a mobile of the complainant. When he refused, they called up their aide and kicked the complainant. They assaulted him on his head with a blunt object. They forcibly took away a gold chain of 34 gm and gold ring of 10 gm totally worth ₹1.35 lakh and disappeared.


The second incident took place at 1.45 am on old Satara Pune Road at Bhilarewadi in the Katraj ghat. Devanand Galfade (38), a resident of Vile Parle, Mumbai, has lodged a complaint (329/23) at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The complainant was travelling from Bhor to Katraj ghat and three people came on a motorcycle. They forced him to stop the car by sounding the horn. When the complainant stopped the car, the accused threatened him with a sickle and forcibly took away his gold chain worth ₹1 lakh. PSI Gupta is probing the case.
