Pune Crime News | FIR registered against man and his family members for physically and mentally harassing his wife and cheating her of lakhs of rupees
PUNE: Pune Crime News | A married woman was physically and mentally harassed and she was forced to leave the house after she demanded ornaments given during her brother-in-law’s marriage. Her husband cheated her of lakhs of rupees and threatened her and an FIR has been registered against her husband and in-laws at the Wanwadi police station. The incident took place from January 2021 to July 22, 2023.
Based on the woman’s complaint, the Wanwadi police have registered an FIR against her husband Dnyanesh Madhavrao Narhare, mother-in-law Madhvi Madhavrao Narhare and sister-in-law Dnyaneshwari Madhavrao Narhare, all residents of Vadgaon Sheri under various sections of the IPC. According to the woman’s complaint, her husband had got married earlier. Since the woman and her husband knew each other since 2018, they got married. Since her husband had a lot of debt, the woman’s mother had given her husband ₹10 lakh. The woman’s mother had also given her husband ₹30 lakh to start a business and some more money for starting a beer bar on FC Road.
Meanwhile, the woman’s husband forced her to sell her BMW car and forced her to buy Mahindra Thar and the installments are being paid through the woman’s account. The woman’s husband also purchased a car for his father and the installments are being paid from his wife’s account. Meanwhile, the woman had given ornaments worth ₹5 lakh at the time of her brother-in-law’s marriage.
She demanded the ornaments given during the marriage but her mother-in-law and her sister-in-law abused her and threatened her. When she informed her husband, he assaulted her after consuming alcohol. When the woman had gone to her husband’s house, her husband’s first wife was present. When asked about this, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law threw her out of the house. The accused husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law took her ornaments and cheated her and physically and mentally harassed her, the complaint states. The Wanwadi police are carrying out further investigation.
