Pune Crime News | Pune police Crime Branch arrests three people for stealing mobiles; Blow lid off eight crimes
Pune: Policenama online –Pune Crime News | The Unit 1 team of Pune police Crime Branch has arrested three persons for stealing mobiles and their questioning has blown the lid off eight crimes. The police have seized 14 mobiles and a car totally worth ₹1.91 lakh from them. (Pune Crime News)
The arrested accused have been identified as Dhanraj Shivaji Kalunke (21), a resident of Wadgaon Sheri, Virendra Kumar Jagdishprasad Prajapati (25), a resident of Tadiwala Road and Kishore Suresh Kolhe (30), a resident of Wadagaon Sheri.
Against the background of arrival of palkhis in the city, the officials and policemen of unit 1 were patrolling and collecting information about criminals on police records. Policeman Aniket Babar came to know that some people were going to come in Sadashiv Peth on a motorcycle and they were going to sell mobiles. He informed Sr PI Shabbir Sayyad who asked to take necessary legal action
After verifying the information, the police laid a trap and arrested three people. Fourteen mobiles and a two-wheeler totally worth ₹1.91 lakh were seized. The police succeeded in blowing the lid off eight crimes i.e. two crimes registered at Vishrambaug, three crimes registered at Samarth and a crime registered in Faraskhana, Dattawadi and Bund Garden police stations. The accused Dhanraj Shivaji Kalunke is a criminal on police records and six cases of vehicle thefts are registered against him.
The action was taken by Sr PI Shabbir Sayyad, API Ashish Kavthekar, PSI Sunil Kulkarni, PSI Ramesh Tapkir, PSI Ajay Jadhav, policemen Aniket Babar, Rahul Makhre, Shashikant Darekar, Datta Sonwane, Ayyaz Daddikar, Abhinav Ladkat, Imran Shaikh, Nilesh Sable, Shubham Desai, Anna Mane, Tushar Malvadkar and Mahesh Bamgude under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende, ACP Sunil Pawar.
