Notorious criminal detained in Nagpur jail for one year; CP Amitabh Gupta acts against 60 people in one year

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime | A criminal who had spread terror in the jurisdiction of Uttamnagar police station has been detained for one year under the MPDA Act. Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has taken action against 60 people under the MPDA Act. (Pune Crime )

 

The criminal has been identified as Prasanna alias Bala Manoj Kadam (21), a resident of flat number 302, third floor, Shantiban Society, Shivne, Haveli taluka. Kadam has been detained in the Nagpur jail for one year under the MPDA Act.

 

Kadam is a notorious criminal and he has committed serious crimes like harbouring sickles, Attempted Murder, causing serious injuries, riots, possessing unlicensed weapons. Four serious crimes have been registered against him in the last five years.

 

Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta ordered the detainment of Kadam for one year at Nagpur jail after receiving a proposal and examining documents. Senior Police Inspector Sunil Jaitapurkar of Uttamnagar police station and Senior Police Inspector Vaishali Chandgude took this action.

 

The police commissioner has taken the action of detainment against 60 people in one year. The police have said that they will continue to act in a similar manner against criminals. Various measures like MCOCA, externment and detainment are being used to tackle criminals.
