Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A team of unit 2 of the crime branch arrested a notorious criminal who had been externed, and who is a member of the gang of notorious criminal Suraj Thombre, by laying a trap. The accused has been identified as Ajinkya Santosh Kale and the police have seized a sickle like weapon from him. The accused has been externed by Pune police, Pimpri Chinchwad commissionerate and from Pune district for two years. (Pune Crime)
When a team of unit 2 of the crime branch was patrolling, they received information that a member of Suraj Thombre gang and now externed criminal Ajinkya Suraj Kale (21), a resident of Ambegaon Pathar, was going to commit a serious crime in Ganeshnagar area of Ambegaon Pathar. The police laid a trap for him and the accused tried to run away after seeing the police. Policeman Namdev Renuse pounced on him and apprehended him.
The accused has been handed over to the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station officials for further action. Serious crimes like robbery, serious injuries and vandalism are registered against him. DCP Sagar Patil has externed him from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune district for two years. Besides him, Prashant Singh Sahota (21), Deepak Kisan Torankar (23), Akash Bapu Mhaske (24), Nikhil Sakharam Akhade (26), Omkar Srinath Katke (26), Jayesh Shivlal Parmar (19), Swapnil Uttam Ubale (20), all residents of Ambegaon Pathar, Mohannagar, Pune have also been externed.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including PI Krantikumar Patil, PSI Sanjay Gaikwad, Rajendra Patole, policeman Yashwant Ambre, Aslam Pathan, Namdev Renuse, Nikhil Jadhav, Mohsin Shaikh and Nagesh Rakh under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Gajanan Tompe.
