Announces construction of a hostel in memory of RM Dhariwal and a multi-purpose hall named after Indrani Balan

Ambegaon (Pune): Entrepreneur and Punit Balan Group and Indrani Balan Foundation President Punit Balan visited and inspected various development projects being undertaken by Indrani Balan Foundation at Loni in Ambegaon taluka of Pune district.

On this occasion, he announced that a hostel will be built in the village in memory of RM Dhariwal and a multi-purpose hall named after Indrani Balan. He was accompanied by his wife Janhavi Balan-Dhariwal.

The Indrani Balan Foundation is constructing a new building for the school and a lake with a capacity of three crore litres of water storage. A garden is being developed around the lake. The foundation is also planting 10,000 trees in the village. RMD Foundation Working President Janhavi Dhariwal inspected the projects.

In a small ceremony held on the occasion, students from the Zilla Parishad School welcomed the guests by playing traditional Dhol-Lezim. A special felicitation of Punit Balan and Janhavi Balan-Dhariwal was held.

Speaking on the occasion, Punit Balan said, “Loni village is a part of my family now. Adequate funds will be provided for the development works being undertaken in the village.”

Janhavi Balan-Dhariwal promised to make available trees for plantation to make the entire village green.

The eight students who excelled in various sports competitions were honoured by Punit Balan. Maji Vidyarthi Vikas Prabodhini (ex-students’ organisation) President Udayraje Walunj welcomed the guests and dignitaries. Joint Secretary (Home) Kailas Gaikwad, Sarpanch Dr Sawlabhau Naik, former Sarpanch Uddhav Lanke and school student Tanishka Sonar spoke. A special felicitation of Punit Balan and Janhavi Balan-Dhariwal was organised by the Loni Gram Panchayat.

Prabodhini Member Balasaheb Gaikwad, Mayur Lokhande, Rajesh Walunj, Suresh Walunj, Santosh Padwal, Punit Balan Group’s Chetan Lokhande, Samajbhushan Kailasrao Gaikwad, Ashok Walunj, Balshiram Walunj, Ashok Adak Patil, Sandip Adhav, Prakash Walunj, Prakash Sonawane, Kailas Sinalkar, Sudhir Sonar, School Headmaster Subhash Vetal and all teachers and staff were present. Dr Avinash Walunj compered.
