Pune News | 19,000 ticketless passengers found by railway administration; Fine of ₹1.43 crore recovered
Pune: Policenama online – Pune News | The railway administration has taken action against 19,101 ticketless passengers in August. It has recovered a fine of ₹1,43,56,000. During a checking drive in August, 19,101 people were found travelling without tickets. A fine of ₹51,45,000 was levied on 9,149 passengers for irregular travel. (Pune News)
A fine of ₹26,000 was collected from 234 people for carrying luggage without paying booking charges. The action was taken under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dube and coordinated by Addl Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Milind Hirve and under the leadership of Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Ramdas Bhise and ticket checkers and Railway Protection Force.
