Pune News | PMPML CMD Sachindra Pratap Singh suspends 36 employees and sacks three employees for absenteeism

PUNE: Pune News | PMPML Chairman and MD Sachindra Pratap Singh has suspended 36 employees and dismissed three employees for regularly remaining absent. Meanwhile, a show cause notice has been issued to 142 employees for remaining absent on July 22, 2023. This has created a flutter.

Action has been taken against 36 employees working in 15 depots of the transport utility for having a poor record and they have been suspended. They include 30 conductors and six drivers. Of the dismissed employees, two are drivers and another was working in the workshop department.

A show cause notice has been issued to 143 employees for remaining absent on July 22, 2023 without giving any notice. Of them, 78 are conductors and 64 drivers. The action has been taken to ensure that commuters should get good service, maximum number of buses operate on a given route, inculcate discipline among employees and reduce absenteeism.
An initiative has been started on the second and fourth Friday of every month and commuters can register their complaints, suggestions at nearest depots, pass centres or bus stands. Senior guardian officials have been appointed at the depots.

Guardian officers will carry out inspections on every Saturday from 5 am to 8 am and guide the employees. Later, they will travel in buses and have a dialogue with commuters from 8 am to 11 am.
