Pune News | Start One Card system linking Pune Metro and buses, should be started, instructs Deputy CM Fadnavis
Pune: Policenama online – Pune News | Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has issued instructions that all transport systems linking Pune i.e. metro and buses should be connected with the ‘One Card’ system. He has given instructions to MahaMetro MD Shravan Hardikar, PMC and PCMC. (Pune News)
“Pune Metro got the clearance first followed by Nagpur but Nagpur Metro project was completed on time. After our meeting with Nitin Gadkari, the Pune Metro project got speeded up. Later, after the work of the interchange was completed in Pune Metro, people are not only celebrating birthdays but are also travelling by it,” Fadnavis said.
“If One Card system is started, it will benefit passengers. I am instructing Shravan Hardikar, PCMC and PMPML. The One Card which has been issued by you should be useful while travelling in PMPML’s buses and this type of ‘One Card’ should be introduced. This means that passengers can travel by metro and the bus by using this card,” he said.
“According to PM Narendra Modi, the One Card is not only for travelling by Pune Metro but by the public transport system not only in Pune but all over the country. In the future, if a person goes to Mumbai, he should be able to travel by Mumbai Metro by showing the Pune Metro card. Hence, a good beginning has been made,” Fadnavis added.
