Pune : Policenama online – Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) resumed bus service to Sukhsagarnagar following protests by the residents.
The bus service to the area was stopped after the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. Though the PMPML bus service to other areas resumed when the restrictions were lifted, Sukhsagarnagar remained deprived of the service. Therefore, Pragati Foundation and the residents appealed to the concerned officers to start the bus but their appeals fell on deaf ears.
The residents then protested outside the PMPML office at Swargate. Taking cognizance of this bus number 71,72, 22 to Sukhsagarnagar were restarted. The residents welcomed the bus and distributed sweets on the occasion. Corporators Prakash Kadam, president of the foundation Pratik Kadam, Santosh Dhumal, Shriram Kulkarni were present.
