Travel by Expressway will become dearer from April 1; Toll rates increased by 18 per cent

MUMBAI : Policenama online – Mumbai Pune Expressway | The monthly budget of the common man has gone haywire with the increase in prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and other essential commodities. Now, travel will become expensive. Thousands of people travel on the Mumbai-Pune route and there is a huge crowd of vehicles on the Expressway. It has been decided to hike the toll rates by a huge margin. Hence, travelling by the Expressway will burn a hole in your pocket. (Mumbai Pune Expressway)

 

According to the available information, the travel by the Mumbai-Pune Expressway is going to get costlier from April 1. Travellers would now have to pay 18 per cent toll. The PWD had issued a notification in 20024 that the toll on the Expressway will be hiked by 18 per cent every three years. Accordingly, the toll has been increased by 18 per cent from April 1, 2023. The toll rates would remain the same till 2030, according to MSRDC.
