Two, including a woman accountant, from education department caught by ACB while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000
Pune : Policenama online – Pune ACB Trap | The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a woman senior accountant and a junior accountant of the Pune Education Department red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for verification of confirmation of salary according to the 6th and 7th pay commissions on service book. The action was taken on Monday. The ACB has registered a case at the Lashkar Police Station. (Pune ACB Trap)
The two bribe-taking officials who were caught have been identified as Senior Accounts Officer Pramila Prabhakarrao Giri (38), Junior Accounts Officer Anil Sridhar Londhe (57). A teacher complained to the ACB Pune about this.
The complainant is a teacher and Senior Accounts Officer Pramila Giri demanded a bribe of Rs. 6,000 for verification of confirmation of salary according to the 6th and 7th pay commissions on service book. As the complainant did not agree to pay a bribe, he complained to the ACB.
After the ACB team verified, it was found that Pramila Giri demanded a bribe of Rs 6,000 from the complainant and Junior Accounts Officer Anil Londhe helped to demand the bribe. The ACB team laid a trap on Monday. Anil Londhe was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant for Pramila Giri. Giri was detained. DSP Vijayamala Pawar is conducting further investigation.
The action was taken by the ACB team under the guidance of Pune ACB SP Amol Tambe and Addl SP Suraj Gurav.
