Dr Pradeep Kurulkar in a honey trap had created shock waves in the country. The ATS had arrested Kurulkar on May 3. Now, information about WhatsApp chats between Kurulkar and the Pakistani woman spy who called herself ‘Zara Dasgupta’ is available. The WhatsApp chats reveal that Kurulkar had discussions with Zara about some of India’s missiles. In the chargesheet submitted by ATS in Pune court, a 1,837 page report of WhatsApp chat has been attached.
Pradeep Kurulkar was arrested by ATS on May 3. It is confirmed that he had given information about some of India’s missiles and the country’s security to a Pakistani woman agent after being honey trapped. The woman had told Kurulkar that her name was Zara Dasgupta. Both of them had chatted extensively on WhatsApp from June 10, 2022 to February 24, 2023 as revealed by examination of his mobile. Kurulkar has been arrested by ATS under the Official Secrets Act.
Kurulkar and Zara had discussions about Agni 6, Rustom, SAM, UCAV and drone projects of DRDO. The investigation has proved that both of them had discussions about Quadcopter, DRDO Duty Chart, Meteor missile, Rafale, Akash and Astra missiles. Kurulkar had mentioned the name of an office-bearer of a company which supplies robotic equipment to the Indian Army.
According to the chargesheet submitted by ATS, Kurulkar had saved the number of the Pakistani spy, in a broadcast group as ‘Happy Morning’ and not as Zara Dasgupta. He had also informed her about the names of two scientists of DRDO.
Kurulkar also had a discussion with Zara about the Agni 6 missile. “I have prepared the design of the launcher of Agni 6 and it has become very successful,” Kurulkar had told her. Zara asked him when Agni 6 would be launched and he replied, “It will be fired in the night, have some patience.”
