Even houses of policemen are not safe; Youth held for stealing cash and ornaments from houses in Vishrantwadi Police Line

An unidentified person broke into two homes of policemen in Vishrantwadi police line and decamped with cash and ornaments. Gajanan Chavan has lodged a complaint (201/23) at the Yerawada police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against a 20-year-old youth. The incident took place at Building number B 5 on March 19 at 3 am in Vishrantwadi police line.
According to the police, the complainant Chavan had gone to native place Jalna. The thief broke the lock and entered his house and stole gold ornaments of two tola worth ₹27,000. He also broke the lock of Swami Rathod’s house and stole cash and a silver anklet worth ₹15,800. PSI Dombale is investigating the case.
