PCMC Water Supply | Pimpri Chinchwad residents not to be supplied water on Thursday evening
PIMPRI : PCMC Water Supply | Due to the repairs and maintenance work to be carried out at the water centre at Ravet, the water supply system will be closed on Thursday (June 15). After water is supplied on Thursday morning, there will be no water supply in the evening. The water supply on Friday (June 16) morning will be disrupted, said Joint City Engineer Shrikant Savne.
The residents of Pimpri Chinchwad are supplied water from the Pavana dam in Maval area. Unclean drinking water is collected from the barrage located at Ravet. This water is purified at the treatment centre at sector 23 Nigdi and supplied to citizens.
Repair and maintenance work related to electricity is to be carried out at the water centre at Ravet and water treatment centre at sector 23, Nigdi and at other water distribution points. Hence, the water supply mechanism will be shut on Thursday.
The PCMC will supply water on Thursday morning but due to repairs and maintenance works, there will be no water supply in the evening. Because of the closure of the water supply mechanism, the water supply on Friday morning will be disrupted. Hence, the water department of PCMC has appealed to people to use water judiciously.
