PMC’s encroachment inspector secures vendors’ licences in relatives’ names

PUNE : Policenama online  – Pune Crime News | A shocking incident has come to light wherein a man who was earlier working as encroachment inspector for PMC, added names of his relatives to his ration card and obtained vendors’ licences. (Pune Crime News)

 

PMC official Mahesh Marne has lodged a complaint (104/23) at the Kothrud police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Encroachment Inspector Kailas Vitthal Bhingare (59), a resident of Paud Road, Kothrud. The incident took place at Kothrud Bavdhan ward office’s encroachment department from 2014 to March 31, 2023.

 

According to the police, when Kailas Bhingare was working as Encroachment Inspector, he added names of his relatives, who stay in another city, in the ration card issued to him for financial gains. He made changes in the ration card. He told others that the government documents were genuine. By pasting photos of fake people in the application, he submitted a fake affidavit. He obtained a vendor’s licence by using the ration card. He used the licence and after using it for financial gains, he submitted the licences to the PMC. PSI Pandhre is probing the case.
