Policeman uses his language skills to recover 51 lost mobiles from nine states

PUNE : Policenama online  – Pune Police Cyber Crime News | A policeman stationed at the cyber cell of the Shivaji Nagar police station made use of five languages and recovered 51 lost mobiles from nine states. The action was taken by a team of officials and policemen of the cyber cell of Shivaji Nagar police station. Happiness was written large on the complainants’ faces after they got back their mobiles. API Bajirao Naik, policeman Rupesh Waghmare, policeman Aadesh Chalwadi and policewoman Ruchika Jamdade had prepared a data of lost mobiles in the area. They carried out a technical investigation and pursued the matter. The officials and policemen came to know that mobiles missing from Pune were active in Gujarat, UP, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Bihar, Punjab and various parts of Maharashtra. The policemen spoke with phone users and policeman Aadesh Chalwadi spoke with officials in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, English and Marathi.

 

He told the mobile users that the mobile which they were using was lost in Pune and nearby areas and it was registered at the police station. Aadesh Chalwadi used his language skills and recovered 51 mobiles worth ₹9.5 lakh from nine states. The owners of mobiles were happy after getting back their mobiles and they expressed their gratitude towards Pune police.

 

Meanwhile, the police have appealed to citizens that if they lose their mobiles, they should immediately lodge a complaint on the Central Equipment Identity Register website.

 

Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale, DCP Sandeep Singh Gill, ACP Gajanan Tompe guided a team of officials including Sr PI of Shivaji Nagar police station Arvind Mane, PI Vikram Gaud, API Bajrao Naik, policemen Rupesh Waghmare, Ganpat Valkoli, Aadesh Chalwadi, Tukaram Mhaske, Arjun Kudalkar and Ruchika Jamdade.
