Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has taken action against the gang led by Dayanand alias Babu Bhimrao Sitaprao (30), a resident of Nimbalkarvasti, Gujarwadi, Nimbalkarwadi, Katraj under MCOCA for creating terror in Katraj and Bharati Vidyapeeth areas. This is 10th such operation in 2022 and the police chief has taken action against 73 gangs under MCOCA. (Pune Crime)
Action under MCOCA has been taken against Dayanand alias Bapu Bhimrao Sitaprao, Sumit alias Kundan Bhimrao Sitaprao (24) and Vikas Anil Jadhav (27), a resident of Khopde Nagar, Gujarwadi Road, Katraj. Cases of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, serious injury, robbery, riot, fighting are registered against the accused at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The accused were indulging in such activities for financial benefits. Hence, Senior PI of Bharati Vidyapeeth police station Jagannath Kalaskar had submitted a MCOCA proposal through DCP Sagar Patil to Addl CP Rajendra Dahale.
The proposal was examined. Later, Police chief Amitabh Gupta took the action against the three accused under MCOCA. Further investigation is being carried out by ACP Sushma Chavan. Meanwhile, Senior PI Jagannath Kalaskar, PI Sangita Yadav, and PI Vijay Puranik had sent the proposal for approval. Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has taken action against 73 gangs under MCOCA so far and this is the 10th such action in 2022.
