Pune Crime News | Girl hailing from Manipur molested in Kondhwa
PUNE: Pune Crime News | The situation is very critical in Manipur due to riots happening in the state since three months. These riots have affected employment and youths to a large extent. Hence, many Manipuri youths are coming to Pune for seeking a livelihood. However, a question arises whether girls who are coming to the city for finding jobs are safe because of an incident which has taken place in the city.
An incident of a 16-year-old Manipuri girl who had come to Pune to look for a job being molested in Kondhwa has come to light. The police have arrested the accused. However, the incident has created a wave of anger in the society.
The 16-year-old girl has lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. The Kondhwa police have arrested Altaf Nazir Khan (21), a resident of Kondhwa Khurd. The incident took place on July 23 at 11.15 pm.
According to the police, the girl had come to Pune a month ago searching for a job. She was staying with her three sisters. On the day of the incident, she was using the staircase to go down. Altaf Nazir, who came from behind, pushed her and she fell on the ground. He started doing obscene acts with her. Her sisters came to her rescue. Nazir meanwhile ran away.
