Pune Crime News | Loni Kalbhor police station: FIR of molestation and under Atrocity Act registered against former sarpanch
PUNE: Pune Crime News | An FIR under the Atrocity Act has been registered against a former sarpanch at the Loni Kalbhor police station for molesting a woman after an enquiry started after an application was made regarding illegal addition of an heir in the property.
The accused has been identified as Vitthal Rajaram Shitole, a resident of Koregaon and hailing from Pune. A 26-year-old woman has lodged a complaint. The complainant woman had made an application seeking a probe into illegal addition of an heir in the property of former sarpanch Vitthal Rajaram Shitole. After a probe started after the application was received, Shitole was angry and when the complainant was going home on May 5, 2023, he pulled her and told her to sit in his car and undress and molested her. Shitole made obscene gestures despite knowing that the complainant is from a scheduled caste.
When the complainant’s father questioned Shitole, he threatened him. Hence, an FIR of molestation and under the Atrocity Act has been registered against him. ACP Bajrang Desai is carrying out further probe in the case.
