Pune Crime News | Man held for trying to sell pistol by Sinhagad Road police; Pistol, cartridge seized

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Officers and policemen of the Sinhagad Road police station have arrested a man who was trying to sell a pistol. The police have seized a pistol and a live cartridge totally worth ₹30,500 from him.

 

The arrested accused has been identified as Vaibhav Vijay Walhekar (29), a resident of Pune district. Officials and staff of Sinhagad Road police station were patrolling to keep a watch on criminals on police record and suspicious persons. Policemen Amol Tambe and Mane came to know that a man was going to come near Hotel Grand View Inn in Narhegaon to sell a pistol. The information was verified.

 

The police laid a trap in the area. Vaibhav Walhekar, who had come to sell a pistol, was trying to escape. The police arrested him. When he was searched, a pistol and cartridge was found. The police have seized weapons worth ₹30,500 from him. An FIR has been registered against him at the Sinhagad Road police station.

 

DCP Suhail Sharma, ACP Rajendra Galande, Sr PI Abhay Mahajan, PI Jayant Rajurkar guided API Rahul Yadav, PSI Ganesh Mokashi, policemen Ravindra Ahire, Amol Tambe, Kumbhar and Mane in taking the action.
